Message from the President

The Scandinavian Society of Western Pennsylvania celebrates the nationalities of the Scandinavian countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sewden.  Our mission is to support the history and cultures of our respective countries for both their accomplishments and their contributions to the Scandinavian experience in America.  Each country brings a unique component to our collective cultural identity.

Our membership includes foreign-born Scandinavians, Scandinavian-Americans, and other Western Pennsylvanians interested in Scandinavian culture, providing a wide variety of perspectives in all areas of Scandinavian life.  Through regularly scheduled meetings, programs, dinners, picnics and events, members can participate in a smorgasbord of activities highlighting elements of our cultural hertitages.  If you are interested in exploring more about Scandinavian culture or participating in one of our events, please come and join us.  You will be most welcome.
